The Australia Africa Chamber of Commerce (AACC) has announced that the first Australia Africa Business Summit is happening in Melbourne from May 12-14, 2024.
This summit is a great chance for people and businesses looking to benefit from the growing opportunities in Australia-Africa business relations. Over two days, the summit brings together government representatives, private sector leaders, and industry experts for mutual growth and collaboration.
Attending the summit gives you exclusive access to top decision-makers, executives, and trade experts in various sectors like agribusiness, mining, technology, energy, healthcare, education, manufacturing, tourism, finance, and government.
With over 500 in-person delegates each day, the event provides extensive networking opportunities. Besides networking, the summit is a platform for sharing knowledge, gaining insights into emerging trends, and understanding the complexities of Australia-Africa trade relations.
Whether you’re looking for business partnerships, investment chances, or staying updated on international trade, the Australia Africa Business Summit is an event you shouldn’t miss.
AACC President Duncan Harris expressed his satisfaction in approving the summit, especially now that many prominent African delegations can confirm their attendance.
“Following feedback from our African partners we reluctantly decided to postpone the Summit from our original slot in October. The recent announcement of the African Union (AU) being permanently admitted as members of the G20 had proven to be a major distraction to geopolitical discourse but with time there is now clarity emerging.
“I am pleased to advise that our key presenters, namely Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Minister for Trade & Tourism, Commonwealth of Australia and Wamkele Keabetswe Mene, Secretary General, Africa Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat have reconfirmed their attendance.
“The Summit venue, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is world-class and we are looking forward to showcasing it, the City of Melbourne and State of Victoria for our international and domestic delegates and attendees.
“We have been incredibly pleased with the interest from delegates, sponsors and presenters. Our key theme – New Bridges. New Connections – will focus delegates on opportunities for two-way trade and commerce particularly in mining, education, agriculture and professional services,” said Mr Harris.
